(Philadelphia, Pa. – Dec. 12, 2014) – Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) today submitted its Cold Weather Survey to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC). The survey indicates that 10,018 of PGW’s approximately 489,000 residential customers currently remain without natural gas, after their service was terminated this calendar year. This year’s figure represents a 10.7 percent increase over 2013. This year’s survey is also the first in four years to show a decrease in the number of low-income customers without service.
(Philadelphia, Pa. – December 1, 2014) – Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) today announced that this quarter’s gas cost rate will decrease for residential, commercial, industrial and municipal customers. The rate will be adjusted for the next three months from its current $1.40 per hundred cubic feet (Ccf) to $1.37 per Ccf for residential customers. PGW will review the rate at the end of the quarter to determine whether it should change. The gas cost rate reflects what PGW pays for the gas.
(Philadelphia, Pa. – November 25, 2014) – Philadelphia Gas Works’ (PGW) Customer Service Centers will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2014, in observance of Thanksgiving. Its Commercial Resource Center will also be closed.
