PGW recommends keeping safety top of mind, especially as the kitchen may be a central place of gathering and celebration. To keep family and friends safe this holiday season, customers and residents are encouraged to follow these safety tips:
- When cooking food, remain in the kitchen to monitor food on the stove and in the oven.
- Keep knives and sharp objects far out of reach from children and pets.
- Make sure smoke alarms on every floor are working. Test them by hitting the test button or follow the products’ instructions.
- Blow out any lit candles before leaving a room or the home.
- Maintain a clean floor so no one trips over bags, toys, or electronics.
- Do not drink and drive.
PGW wishes our customers and employees a safe, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving. To support Philadelphia families in need this year, visit the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey https://www.unitedforimpact.org/.
