LIHEAP: a Simple Solution for PGW Customers
PGW invites customers to attend LIHEAP Open House for application assistance
(Philadelphia, Pa. – November 13, 2013) – Today Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) opened its Customer Service Center doors to host a LIHEAP Open House in West Philadelphia. Visitors met one-on-one with PGW representatives to apply for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), to learn new ways to save on their energy bills and explore other assistance options.
PGW Offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day
(Philadelphia, Pa. – November 7, 2013) – Philadelphia Gas Works’ (PGW) Customer Service Centers will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2013, in observance of Veterans Day. Its Commercial Resource Center will also be closed. PGW’s Residential Customer Call Center will remain open on November 11 for Emergency calls only.
LIHEAP Available to PGW Customers Beginning November 4, 2013
PGW advises customers to apply early for heating assistance
(Philadelphia, Pa. – November 1, 2013) – This year’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will begin accepting applications from low income households on November 4. In Philadelphia, more than 1 in every 3 residents are eligible for LIHEAP, which means their income is at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. For Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW), approximately 150,000 of its customers are eligible for LIHEAP.
