More Than Just a Property Management Company

For three generations, Lindy Property Management has met the housing needs of students, seniors, families, corporations and even pets (they’re family, too!) One could argue that a management company of that size (Lindy has over 30 properties in our region) shouldn’t have time for additional services and community involvement.

One would be surprised…

In 2009 the company founded the Lindy Scholars Program, which broadens educational opportunities for inner-city students. Each year the program matches 25 Drexel University students with 75 middle school students for afterschool tutoring and mentoring.

Lindy Property Management has also been a sponsor at the National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) summer camp sites. With Lindy’s involvement, the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education organization further subsidized NJTL camps.
Lindy’s mission is dedicated to providing comfort and convenience. Low and behold, our PGW EnergySense Team aims to do the same.

“Capital improvements are sometimes out of reach because of the capital costs,” says Chief Financial Officer of Lindy Property Management Scott Affrime. “It’s only by partnering with energy companies that we can do some of these projects.”

PGW helped Lindy Property Management uncover energy savings, while increasing resident comfort, when the company decided to install 196 new high-efficiency heaters, along with other energy-efficient improvements at its 7400 Roosevelt Boulevard building. After the upgrades, Lindy Property Management received $104,491 in grants from PGW.

“Everything went as expected and we had a very pleasant experience,” says Affrime.

Of course, when plans go “as expected” Lindy is able to spend more time and energy volunteering in the community.
