Heading Over the (Delaware) River or through the Woods?
Posted on: Nov 27, 2013Whether you’re cooking Thanksgiving dinner at home, or traveling to spend the holiday with family and friends, you can count on safe, reliable natural gas. Keep yourself and loved ones safe this season by remembering these simple, important tips.
• Natural gas has a rotten egg-like odor. If you think you smell natural gas, leave the area immediately then call PGW at (215) 235-1212 at any time.
• Report suspected gas theft. The theft of gas is dangerous and should be reported immediately by calling (215) 684-6383. Your call is confidential.
• Prevent Carbon Monoxide poisoning. You cannot see, smell, or hear carbon monoxide (CO). It’s a colorless, odorless gas. To help prevent CO poisoning, install CO detectors within your home and check them regularly to ensure they’re functioning properly.
Now, go on decking those halls, trimming trees and heading over the river and through the woods. Happy Thanksgiving!
