Good energy makes good sense

In August of last year, PGW launched its conservation campaign. With a new video (which we edited into two TV spots), billboards and print ads introduced Philadelphia to a new kind of conservation. Our Energysense program goes beyond simply inviting people to turn the heat down or wear a sweater (still good ideas!) and gives them tools and rebates to make a real difference in their lives.

As part of the campaign we also launched PGWenergysense.com, a site full of information about how higher efficiency equipment can reduce the amount of natural gas people need to use, how you can save green (really) by getting greener and about how natural gas is the more environmentally supportive fossil fuel for this region.



We had great, positive responses to last year’s campaign. This year, we’re doing it again with a new TV spot and new billboards as well as print, radio and online advertising.

Ultimately, our goal is to reduce the amount of natural gas we use, as a City and encourage the adoption of better, more efficient technologies. We believe that will allow Philadelphia to shrink the amount of money we each pay for the natural gas we rely on.

Whether you’re a homeowner or a landlord, a small business or a big industry there are rebates and grants to help you do more with less. After all, good energy does indeed make good sense.
